Team Manager Resources

Each of our competitive teams has a team manager. The team manager, together with the coach and club staff, guide the team throughout the season and help with things like parent communication, scheduling and working with club staff to make sure each player on their team has everything they need for league and tournament play including a player pass, uniform and all necessary paperwork completed.

Club staff are available to help managers learn all required tasks including printing game day lineup sheets and entering schedule information on whatever scheduling app the team decides to use. Managers with questions can reach out to [email protected] on anything listed on this page.

Club/League Policies

Below are a few club policies that team managers are encouraged to be familiar with as parents on your team may ask you as first point of contact. If you have questions on any of the policies here contact [email protected].

Practice Parent Policy
For the safety of our players and coaches, we require an adult (most likely a parent but could be a aunt, uncle, grandparent) to be in attendance at each of our competitive team's practices. As team manager, you can simply list a practice parent on each of your team's scheduled practices and inform parents that if they are unable to fill their turn, it's up to them to find a replacement.  (full policy here)
Weather Policy
Extreme Temperatures - Bloomington United follows league rules during periods of extreme weather. (full rules)
Rain - Cities may close fields due to rain and will alert clubs when they do. Games and practices will need to be rescheduled (see reschedule policy below). If rain is in the forecast or it's lightly raining, the club will leave the decision to practice up to individual teams. For league games, teams should always go to the field unless notified the fields are closed. Referees at the field will make the determination of playing or postponing. Managers and Coaches SHOULD NOT make this decision. Referees also have the authority to halt a game due to weather. Lightning requires all players, coaches and spectators clear the field and is at the discretion of the referee.

Game Reschedules
If a game needs to be rescheduled, the following process must be followed:
  1. If it's your home game to be rescheduled, reach out to the opposing manager to determine a date/time that works for both teams (helps to be prepared with a couple possible dates).
  2. Provide those dates to the club's field coordinator ([email protected]) who can check on field and referee availability.
  3. When the field coordinator approves your change then both the home and away team need to log on to the league software platform and enter in the proposed reschedule date, time and location.
  4. The league will review and if no conflicts are found, approve the game for reschedule. Both teams receive notification of the approval.
